My Background

Hi, my name is Miss Cassy, and thank you for viewing my teacher's website! Something's about myself is that I'm an undergraduate college student at Bridgewater State University. I'm currently studying elementary education concentrating in special education and double majoring in education, with English as my second major. I now also hold an associate degree in early childhood education. But my love for teaching brought me to Bridgewater State University, where I will finish with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Studying at Bridgewater has been a lifelong dream that is finally coming true. Since I was six years old, I had wanted to be a teacher when I got older. When I got to high school, I enrolled in an early childhood course that allowed me to study Early childhood care and Early childhood education, and part of my requirement for the class was to actively work with preschoolers in our daycare at our high school. Being a student teacher in high school working in daycare at our high school, “Case’s little faces” was the program; I fell instantly in love with working with younger kids. I took this course for three years, and in my last year of high school, I got the chance to become a lead teacher a few times in the classroom as a required assignment working with children. After high school, I knew I wanted to keep going forward in my education, so I decided to go to Bristol Community College. At Bristol Community College, I studied early childhood education for two years and then got my associate's degree. But just having my associate’s degree wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to push myself even further, go to Bridgewater State University, study elementary education, and receive a bachelor's degree in a few years. I’m currently still taking education courses at BSU, and I look forward to the day that I can walk down the stadium with my degree in my hand and say to myself that I made it. I’m fully licensed now to become an elementary teacher. This will forever be my dream, and teaching will always be my passion. I can’t wait until the day that I have my classroom with my own students. I want to teach my students the value of being important and mattering in this world. This life lesson isn’t fitted into a lesson plan that students learn every day. So I would like to teach my students that they matter and no one should be picked on for their differences. I would also be teaching my students general lesson plans, but checking in with students to see how they are doing emotionally isn’t done too often in classrooms. So in saying that, I would like my students to know that they can come to me if they're feeling sad and tell me what’s wrong because every child should feel safe and comfortable in their environment in class.

My Background

I love to teach all ages of children, and teaching has become a passion that motivates me to pursue my Bachelor's degree in elementary education. Besides teaching, my other hobbies are painting/and drawing, which I find relaxing. I also have a strong love and passion for working with animals. Such as working with horses!

My Favorite Things

My favorite thing is to teach lesson plans and activities to a small and large group of students. Preparing lesson plans, I see firsthand how excited the students are about learning, which is fantastic!
